Executive Producer & Consultant // Freelance – 2019 to Present
As an independent Executive Producer & Consultant, I work with Agency and Brand teams directly, assessing their creative content production quandaries to help plot and execute a path toward a successful production and delivery.
This includes but is not limited to project scoping, vendor outreach/bidding, project management, coordination amongst internal stakeholders, post-production supervision, delivery and wrap.
Executive Producer // Hobnob – 2018 to 2019
Facilitated the creation of a next gen Creative Production Company, collaborating with artists across the spectrum of disciplines to solve the ever-evolving content quandaries of agencies and brands alike.
Utilizing my experience working with brands directly, I expanded our offering beyond the traditional production model, enabling us to service a wider range of clients with a more versatile and dynamic range of solutions. From creative, to experiential, VFX, live action, broadcast & digital content.
I relished the fact that on any given day I had the opportunity to be brainstorming with my directors, discovering new talent, problem solving with other producers, ideating a concept, strategizing with a brand, managing a sales rep, reviewing an edit or VFX pass, building client relationships, or aiding an agency producer and creative team.
Director Content Production // M&C Saatchi LA – 2015 to 2018
Accountable for production department’s responsibility of bringing Creative to life across the agency’s entire roster of clients as well as managerial duties of the department, including: administration, guiding a team of producers, sourcing additional staff as needed, protecting the creative integrity of the content we were entrusted with, making sure appropriate expectations were set for each assignment, and maintaining a level of cautious optimism about how far we could push the boundaries of our executions without risking the success of our final product.
Leading the team at a boutique global agency meant still getting to roll up my sleeves and getting my hands dirty day after day, and I wouldn’t have had it any other way.
Senior Producer // M&C Saatchi LA – 2010 to 2015
Cultivated the in-house broadcast/content production department from scratch, including: developed internal workflow process, crafted/sourced/compiled all production documents, devised media storage/archive, hired personnel, liaise between Creative / Account Management teams, fostered vendor/artist relationships, collaborated with business affairs team, and of course, supervised and coordinated the execution of our clients’ content.
For content productions, I scoped, bid, supervised, and coordinated projects from conception to delivery with budgets ranging from $0 dollars into the millions.
Maximizing time & budget efficiencies without compromising the integrity of our creative was always my primary goal.
As Advertising evolved from being broadcast spot-centric toward web and social content, I adapted our processes and founded new relationships to ensure our team continued to thrive as the world around us continued to change.
Senior Writer + Producer // M&C Saatchi LA – 2006 to 2010
Responsible for creative concepts as well as production supervision/execution for client campaigns across traditional and digital media.
In the wake of the economic downturn, our team dwindled, so I developed a one-person production department in addition to my role as a Creative in order to keep our budgets invested in our execu) tions rather than going out the door.
Writer // TDA_boulder – 2004 to 2006
Ideated TV spots to launch Chipotle into the broadcast space and traded newspaper ads for sushi with a local restaurant client. I was young, it seemed fair.
Perhaps most importantly, I learned that big budgets don’t always make a big impact, but a big idea can. And also, to always make doing business a pleasure.
